December 22, 2010 – Hallelujah!

What a glorious 3.5 minutes!. Thousands…yes thousands gathered around the food court of Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale, Arizona for a somewhat impromptu singing of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus (I think the news leaked the event meaning a “few” more people than few hundred hoped for). It was actually done twice – each time as magnificent as the other.
Unfortunately, I could not get to a very good vantage point to take pictures so did the best I could without sacrificing soaking in the power of the voices boldly singing God’s praises in the public square. Truth be told…there is no way a still picture could capture it – it only serves as a reminder.Sony DSLR-A100 | f5.6 | 1/20 | ISO400

This is being done in so many places now, catching on like fire. Spirited, I say.

My little boy and I were in Build A Bear on the 3rd floor and were so surprised and loved the crowds of talented people filling the building with gorgeous music. What a wonderful treat!! Thanks for the fantastic picture, we could not see anything but loved the music.

What a way to sing praises! So many people in harmony with each other. If only The World would sing together instead of creating conflict! All the problems would be solved.

Thank you for the post you left on my blog today (http://debphoto365.blogspot.com). After looking through your blog and reading your post on DPS it seems that our experiences have been extremely similar. As I look at this photo, it reminds me that I could say “hallelujah” at the thought of being finished with this project in 8 more days (I’ve done my blog for today). You’re photos of smoke have me particularly intrigued and I may try that if I have time before the end of the year, but if not, definitely next year.
Congratulations on a wonderful effort this year and best wishes for future success!
