September 9, 2010Okay, so as I was leaving the house this morning to go to work, I discovered this little guy praying over our house….well, he is a Praying Mantis…what else would he be doing. I had never seen one before.  Now I have.  Life goes on.

August 21, 2010I’m back although in limited fashion.  I feel disappointed that I have been forced to miss the last few days ruining a near perfect run of a photo-a-day.  However, I also know that it was not due to laziness or other avoidable excuses. So I still consider it a success.

The last picture taken in the beloved country of Swaziland…a fern just outside the airport lit by the setting sun. Perhaps this lush green leave is a reminder of a rebirth that can emerge in this small, oft forgotten corner of the globe and may that transformation begin with Bulembu.

Farewell Swaziland. Inkhosi Ikubusise.

A purely experimental “out of focus on purpose” image. Did it work?

April 7, 2010

I can’t help taking pictures of flowers this time of year.  They are fresh and vibrant.  Within a short period of time, most will have been beaten by the heat of the Arizona sun.  I want to save them as much as I can.
